Wristband Checks User's Identity Through Their Own Heartbeat

A Toronto-based company has invented a wristband that confirms user's identity through their own heartbeat and then communicates the authentication to their devices such as iPads and cars. The wearer registers their identity by touching a sensor that has been embedded in the top of the band with the opposite hand for about 2 minutes while Bionym's Nymi captures an ECG signature, once stored, it will recognise only this unique biometric template, New Scientist reported. ...
