Blocking Immune Signaling Could Stop Inflammation and Insulin Resistance

Blocking the action of a signalling molecule in the immune system could prevent insulin resistance and inflammation associated with obesity, a new study found. Reporting in this week's issue of iNature Medicine/i, the NYU Langone team showed in experiments in mice and human tissue that Netrin-1 signaling is propelled by fat tissue growth.
