Need for Osteoporosis Treatment Underestimated by WHO Tool

The need for treatment of osteoporosis for people who are younger than 65 or have been treated for a single broken bone has been underestimated by World Health Organization's tool. A WHO task force developed the Fracture Risk Assessment Tool (FRAX) to help predict the likelihood of adults between the ages of 40 and 90 breaking a bone.
