Obesity Prior to Pregnancy Linked to Preterm Births

Women who are obese before they become pregnant may have an increased risk of delivering a premature baby, researchers have found. The findings from the Stanford University School of Medicine provide important clues as to what triggers extremely preterm births, specifically those that occur prior to 28 weeks of pregnancy.
