A hospital in Kerala, has become the first in the Asia-Pacific region to use robotic technology for neurosurgery. The Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences confirmed that it has used the French-made Rosa Robotic Assistant to successfully carry out surgeries to treat epilepsy patients.
