Penguins' Sense of Taste is Poor

Penguins do not have sense of taste as they have lost three of the five basic tastes over evolutionary time, reveals a new study. They cannot detect the taste of fish or sweetness of fruit that they eat. For them, it appears, food comes in only two flavors: salty and sour.
