Medical device manufacturer Medtronic has acquired Diabeter, a Dutch diabetes research center and clinic, as part of its business expansion. The diabetes research firm manages more than 1,500 type 1 diabetes patients and employs 36 workers at four locations. It uses technology called the Diabeter Dashboard, which physicians use to remotely support patients who are managing their diabetes.
