About the show:

Season 3 of “Power” finds James St. Patrick as the owner of new nightclubs, out of the drug game, and in a rekindled relationship with his first love, Angela — the AUSA sworn to bring him to justice. But just as they begin to believe James’ past criminal persona of ‘Ghost’ may finally be behind them, both are forced to face the consequences of running from a life from which no one gets away clean.

James’ estranged best friend Tommy has just reunited with his newly returned love, Holly, but he must attempt to not only rebuild Lobos’ devastated drug organization, but to kill Ghost — turning brother against brother. He’s on the verge of having everything he’s ever wanted, but will this new phase of James St. Patrick’s life end before it begins with old sins and the specter of ‘Ghost’ coming back to haunt him?

In recent months, the world has seen an increase in unspeakable terrorist attacks that have claimed many lives. ISIS has taken responsibility for many of these attacks and Paris Hilton fears she may be on their target list… because she’s famous!

The hotel heiress turned DJ gave an interview with Ibiza’s Diario de Ibiza and shared her thoughts on terrorism around the globe.

“It’s horrible everything that’s happening, the recent attacks in Nice and Germany are terrible, it’s disgusting and scary,” said. But her following statements just make you wanna sit this poor child down and say, “Oh, honey, 2005 was such a long time ago…”

“They are things that cross my mind when I travel a lot, and when I think about that I get scared. I’m moving and traveling from one country to another. I’m a famous person that could be a clear target of an attack and it’s something that sometimes terrifies me.”

Honestly, nobody is checking for Paris Hilton in 2016 and, if anybody is checking for Paris Hilton in 2016, it certainly is not ISIS.

Of course, once news of her interview spread, a representative for the socialite used the popular “misquoted” explanation to help curb the backlash she began to receive.

“An interview Paris did in Spain was unfortunately lost in translation. As she initially explained to the journalist, she often travels internationally for work and appears at large venues which can possibly be targets. She never said she was personally a target.”

Since Kim Kardashian stole her thunder with her sextape in 2006, Hilton has been traveling across the globe as a DJ. She’s had a summer DJ residency in Ibiza since 2013.

Mimi’s got a new girl!

Shortly before the Season 5 finale of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, Mimi Faust revealed she was in a relationship with another woman. However, the person was not featured on the show nor did Faust reveal her identity. We may now have a clue as to who the mystery woman is thanks to an Instagram post.

Faust recently posted a photo with WNBA star Tamera Young. The Chicago Sky star player is openly gay and seems to be very happy with Faust in the background.

For an unknown reason, Faust has deleted the post. Although the pic caused rumors to swirl, apparently the two have been dating for a while. The alleged couple met reportedly met when Young made an appearance on Faust’s ex’s spin-off show, Stevie J & Joseline. However, they had to keep a low profile because Faust’s storyline on LHHATL involved another woman.

Faust shocked audiences during the most recent LHHATL season by revealing she was dating a woman, Chris Gould. They broke up by the end of the season.

I initially believed Faust’s storyline regarding her sexuality was another one of Mona Scott Young’s ploys for the sake of the show. Faust also refused to state that she was gay or bisexual, opting to say “I like people. I like personalities and I’m attracted to who I’m attracted to.” This further fueled my suspicious Faust’s newfound lesbianism was fake.

However, I stand corrected on my original thoughts if this relationship with Young is for real. Neither have actually confirmed the relationship, but pay close attention to their social media accounts just in case more photos pops up.

Former NFL Player Antonio Armstrong and Wife Murdered by 16-Year-Old Son

A former NFL player and his wife were shot and killed early Friday morning (Jul 29) in their Houston home, and the person police say murdered them is their own 16-year-old son.

Houston’s KTRK reports that Antonio Armstrong, who played for the Miami Dolphins in 1995, and his wife, Dawn, were shot inside their bedroom. Mrs. Armstrong was reportedly found dead when police arrived on the scene, and Antonio was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The couple’s 16-year-old son, Antonio Armstrong Jr., has been charged with capital murder for the death of his own parents.

Reporters are refusing to release the 16-year-old’s name, however, we here at GOT feel as though he was old enough to take the lives of the very two people who brought him into the world, then he’s old enough to have his name released.

Investigators said it was Antonio Jr. who called 911 to report the shooting, and after searching the home they found a smoking gun with a note beside it that read, “I’ve been watching you.” Investigators also said there were no signs of forced entry or a struggle and nothing in the house was disturbed.

16-year-old Antonio Armstrong Jr. was arrested on the spot and he will likely be charged as an adult, investigators said. A motive for the shooting is currently unknown, and people who knew the Armstrongs, who owned three fitness centers in the Houston Area, have no idea why their son would commit such a violent crime.

“There was nothing left out. There was no neglect or anything. There was nothing that even could possibly have justified this situation,” Dawn Armstrong’s cousin, Vaun Lee, told KTRK. “This doesn’t even make sense. It makes no sense.”

“This was an outstanding family,” Detective Jimmy Dotson said. “The [father] was an absolute hard-working breadwinner. He’s an associate pastor at a church in the area. The mother was apparently a great mother.”

All three of the couple’s children, including a 20-year-old son, another 16-year-old son (Dawn’s nephew whom she was raising) and a teenage daughter, were reportedly in the home at the time of the shooting, but were unharmed, Houston Police Department homicide investigator Jimmy Dodson told the Houston Chronicle.

Officer in Sandra Bland Case Threatened to Stay Silent About What He Knows Regarding Her Death

More details of how Walker County, Texas officers and jailers may have covered up or mishandled the mysterious death of Sandra Bland are being revealed. An officer with knowledge about the case has now come forward claiming he was threatened to remain silent about what he knows.

According to Prairie View Officer Michael Kelley, Bland had marks on her forehead after a confrontation with Texas State Trooper Brian Encinia. Kelley also says Encinia phoned his supervisor after placing Bland in handcuffs and arresting her because he was unsure of what to actually charge her with.

Kelley revealed to the Associated Press that he was contacted by a Waller County district attorney assistant and told not to speak to an attorney for Bland’s family. He also says the assistant warned of repercussions if he decided to reveal any information.

“I didn’t become a cop to become shady like a lot of officers,” Kelley said. “I became a cop to do justice and to try to change the community which I work in.”

Of course prosecutors have denied Kelley’s allegations. “I unequivocally state that he never approached me, my first assistant or any member of my staff with any such information,” Waller County District Attorney Elton Mathis told AP. “I can only imagine this is an attempt to divert attention.”

Kelley is currently suspended from the police department for tazing a black city councilman. He was indicted and charged with official oppression. However, Kelley believes his indictment was a form of retaliation due to his knowledge regarding the Bland case.

Kelley’s allegations come just days after a former Waller County jail guard admitted to falsifying a jail log. Rafael Zuniga says senior guards ordered him to indicate in the log that he checked on Bland, even though he actually hadn’t.

In December 2015, a grand jury failed to indict anyone for Bland’s death. However, Bland’s family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Waller County and 12 county officials. More details regarding the case may be revealed as this lawsuit continues.

DNA Evidence Incriminates Nicki Minaj’s Brother of Raping 12-Year-Old, Faces Life in Prison

Very incriminating evidence was revealed by prosecutors in Nicki Minaj’s brother’s rape case. According to the prosecution, semen found on the 12-year-old accuser’s clothing is a DNA match to Jelani Maraj. Prosecutors have offered Maraj a plea deal in light of the new evidence.

“A DNA profile, a partial profile matching the defendant or consistent with the defendant, your honor, to the point in the hundreds of billionths of chance of it being any other individual, was discovered in the…pants of the complainant in this case, and also tested positive indicating the presence of semen,” Anthony Pirri (assistant district attorney) told the judge during a July 26 Nassau County Supreme Court hearing.

Maraj, 37, was arrested last year after a 12-year-old accused him of raping and sodomizing her between April 1 and November 30, 2015. He was arrested a day after the final incident and was indicted on several felony rape and sexual assault charges in July 2016.

Maraj could face multiple life sentences if found guilty. A trial is set to begin in November, but could be avoided if Maraj agrees to a plea deal. Prosecutors have reportedly offered him 15 years if he pleads guilty to a felony charge of “predatory sexual assault of a child.”

He previously rejected a plea deal of 7 years before he was indicted and the release of the DNA evidence.

Regardless of the end result for Maraj, this is a horrible situation all around. We also can’t forget that a minor has been sexually assaulted and now has to deal with the effects of the heinous act for years to come.

Nicki Minaj has not commented on the matter.

The Internet has a way of really ruining your childhood, doesn’t it?

It’s been 20 years since America’s favorite aardvark “Arthur” first aired on TV, and this week, the popular PBS kids’ show was made into a host of memes and became a trending topic on Twitter.

The memes, which involved topics like cheating exes, Black Lives Matter, Hip-Hop references, North Korea, and a ton of other things, came out of nowhere after a Twitter user posted a picture of Arthur’s fist with the caption, “This is just a pic of Arthur’s fist but idk how I feel that it’s just so relatable. About the show:

Coach K Says USA Olympic Basketball Team Is Having “Too Much Fun”

The US Men’s Olympic basketball team has been warming up for the 2016 games with some exhibition matches, knocking off the Chinese team on Tuesday with a 107-57 victory. Everyone expects the US team to do great things, but it’s the way they are doing it that makes it so much fun to watch.

With a loaded team that includes such stars as Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Draymond Green and Paul George, exciting basketball is a given. The craziness is definitely going to come out when they are up by almost 50 points in the 4th quarter, but when DeMar DeRozan busted out this move…

…I think everyone was surprised. And while most love the attempt and enjoy watching that kind of ball, one person in particular didn’t.

Following the game, Coach K told the media he wasn’t too thrilled with the amount of fun his squad was having.

Are we really surprised? Sure, Coach K is a good coach – his Duke Blue Devils are always a contender in the NCAA and he’s led a number of great US teams to victory over the years. But the dude doesn’t come across as someone who is a fan of fun.

Duke has always been known as a stuffy, pretentious school covered with gothic buildings across its campus. None of that screams, hey, let’s pull a contested 360 dunk mid game because it would be fun. And despite his successful career, Coach K always come across the same way as Bill Belichick of the NE Patriots – too serious for his own good.

And while the US team is definitely going to face some stiffer competition come Olympic time, I say let them have as much fun as they want. Because when they’re having fun, the fans are having fun.

Julian Assange: “A Lot More Material” Coming Regarding US Elections

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange told CNN on Tuesday that “a lot more” material regarding the U.S. elections might be coming soon. This follows the recent release of almost 20,000 emails that has caused issues for the Democratic National Committee.

The email scandal has forced the head of the DNC to resign (only to be hired on by Clinton and her campaign), fractured an already tumultuous Democratic party, and raised allegations of Russian interference with American elections.

The release happened the day before the Democratic National Convention was set to take place in Philadelphia, and the ramifications have been felt throughout. The biggest issue the party now faces is trying to win over supporters of Bernie Sanders.

Many were already hesitant to jump ship and support Clinton, but after finding out the party was working to tarnish Sanders’ campaign behind the scenes, many are refusing to unite the party for the general election.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is enjoying the show, even saying he hopes Russia continues with the hacking and releasing of damning emails in an effort to take down Clinton.

The release of further emails should worry most politicians, however, as Assange has not said who or what specifically the next leak will incriminate. And if this recent batch is any indication, there’s some fishy stuff going on in D.C.

And while many (mostly politicians) see Assange and WikiLeaks as a detriment, going so far as to say he is a cyber terrorist and should be assassinated, I, for one, appreciate the transparency into seeing just how the people who run the country on the salaries of our tax dollars do their job.

The Bourne Identity kicked off the popular spy franchise back in 2002, being followed up with two direct sequels and a sort of spin-off without the titular Matt Damon character ten years later. Those four films have grossed over $1 billion in their worldwide theatrical run, so the fact that they are bringing Damon back in as Bourne this weekend isn’t really shocking.

But if you told Matt Damon he’d be doing another Bourne movie back in 2007, he’d have called bull shit. During an interview with Jon Stewart on The Daily Show, Damon discussed the upcoming Bourne Ultimatum — the ending of the trilogy.

When asked if there’d be another one, Damon responded, “Paul (the director) said it could be called the Bourne Redundancy.”

Turns out director Paul Greengrass was right. According to one Forbes review of the latest installment, which hits theaters on Friday (Jul. 29), that’s exactly what they should have called it. The reviewer writes that “you’ve seen this movie before … the filmmaker steals wholesale from his previous movies to the point where it feels not like a formula but a glorified remake.”

Usually, it’s hindsight that is 20/20, but this time, it seems like the Bourne crew had it right in the past.
