The couple, who have been dating since 2017, announced the happy news by posting the same photo on Instagram—an image of their hands, with Lopez wearing a massive diamond engagement ring.

This engagement is far from the first for J.Lo, who has been proposed to numerous times over the years.

J.Lo has been engaged five times, as far as public knowledge is concerned, and her and A-Rod’s future wedding will mark her fourth marriage.

Lopez was married to Ojani Noa (1997-1998), Cris Judd (2001-2003) and Marc Anthony (2004-2014).

J.Lo also had serious relationships with Diddy (1999-2001) and with her former backup dancer Cancer Smart (2011-2016), though she never publicly announced an engagement with either of them.

Jennifer Lopez’s marriage with Ojani Noa was short-lived and lasted for less than 12 months. We don’t know too much about Lopez’s relationship with Noa, a Cuban waiter, but she’s dealt with some legal issues with him since their divorce.

In 2006, Lopez filed a lawsuit to stop Nao from publishing a book about their relationship. Her attorney said at the time: “Sadly, no personal detail is too sacred to be sold by Noa for profit. Noa will do anything within his power to make money off his ex-wife. He is out of control.”

And three years later, in 2009, more than a decade after their marriage ended, Lopez had to take legal action again, this time to block Noa from releasing an “intimate video” from their honeymoon.

Lopez claimed in her second lawsuit against Noa that his intention to release a movie, titled “How I Married Jennifer Lopez: The JLO and Ojani Noa Story,” drawn from 11 hours of never-before-seen home video footage, was in violation of a previously signed confidentiality agreement.

Jennifer Lopez and Cris Judd started dating in 2001. Judd was a backup dancer at the time. This was Lopez’s first relationship after she and Diddy broke up, and many thought it was simply a rebound. However, she and Judd ended up getting engaged and then they got married. They were divorced by 2003 though.

Following her divorce from Cris Judd, Lopez met and started dating Ben Affleck while filming their 2003 movie “Gigli.” They quickly got engaged but called things off in 2004 before making it down the aisle.

Lopez and Marc Anthony got married just months after her split from Ben Affleck, and they welcomed twins, Max and Emma, in 2008. They announced their split in July 2011 and Anthony filed for divorce in April 2012.

Lopez and Anthony’s divorce was finalized in 2014 and Lopez was granted primary physical custody of their two children.
