Doctors and nurses at the University of Minnesota Hospital this week were interrupted by a man-versus-wild scene they will not soon forget.

They watched and videotaped from what we hope was a break room and not an operating room window as a rogue turkey squared off for several seconds with what looks to be a UPS driver, who can blame his late deliveries on the big, angry bird.

The wild turkey, seemingly unhappy about this invasion of its turf by a man wearing a brown suit and using his coat as a bullfighter’s cape, ultimately chased the driver into the UPS truck.

Meanwhile, the medical professionals in their scrubs chortled and provided running commentary from start to finish. “The turkey’s like, ‘Hey, you’re parking in my spot,’” one of them says.

But then another man, perhaps the driver of the FedEx truck, rushed in and saved the day by chasing the turkey down the snowy road.

Package deliveries resumed and, hopefully, the doctors and nurses were able to regain their composure in time to fulfill their daily obligations.
