A cyclist in Taiwan is fortunate to be alive–and without suffering any physical injury whatsoever–after almost being run over in a crosswalk, in an event captured via dash-cam.
But what’s truly amazing is the manner by which the female cyclist handled the situation, calmly stepping off her bike as it’s being struck in the front-wheel area, then strolling over to pick up her handbag, as though this were part of an ordinary routine.
States Jalopnik, which supplied the accompanying GIF: “Only when you zoom in and watch the crash frame by frame do you realize that the step-through frame of her bicycle lets the bike spin around her and leave her standing completely unharmed.”
If this woman benefited from some sort of guardian angle, she’s not the only cyclist to have been so fortunate in recent weeks.
Another video being widely circulated on the Internet (posted below) shows a motorcyclist being struck in an intersection by the driver of a car who ran a red light. His misadventure was captured via helmet-cam.
The motorcyclist, like the female bicyclist, ended up on his feet. He suffered only minor injuries, but his motorcycle was totaled.
