Former drug kingpin Frank Lucas has reportedly died at the age of 88.
Although no details have been made available, sources close to Lucas confirmed to VladTV that he passed away Thursday (May 30).
Frank Lucas was best known as an American former drug trafficker who operated in Harlem during the late 1960s and early 1970s.
His life and career as perhaps the most famous drug kingpin in U.S. history was depicted in the 2007 film American Gangster, in which he was portrayed by Denzel Washington.
Lucas is survived by his wife of more than 40 years, former Puerto Rican beauty queen Julianna Farrait, as well as his seven children, VladTV reports.
