Standup paddling is one of those sports that looks simple enough, but is incredibly difficult to get good at.
“Standup paddling may look easy, and the progression curve is fast, but your ability to truly master a beautiful, powerful stroke is all about mastering the basics and building a strong foundation from which all skills can be built,” says Annabel Anderson, a world champion SUP racer. “Getting things right from the get-go will go a long way to realizing your potential to glide effortlessly across a glassy alpine lake, to navigate rapids on rivers, or to put yourself in the best position to ride a wave.”
