India Improves Ranking on the Global Hunger Index

India has improved its ranking on the Global Hunger Index (GHI) as the number of hungry and malnourished people has dropped over the last year, a new report has said. India was ranked 63rd in the GHI last year but its score has fallen to 17.8 points, leading to an improvement of eight places with the new ranking showing it to be in 55th place.
