Bored with the status quo, adventure brand The North Face decided to make its shopping experience a whole lot more interactive at one of its South Korean stores, introducing a disappearing floor that forces customers to climb up the walls to keep from falling to the (padded) floor below.
To climb or not to climb? Photo is a screen grab
The whole stunt was put on by The North Face and South Korean ad agency Innored and has a bit of a game show feel to it, complete with a TV screen yelling directions to the panicked and confused “contestants.” Luckily for the chosen few, one of the store’s walls has rock-climbing holds, and when the floor starts to recede, it’s pretty obvious that up is the only way out. It appears the climb also earned contestants a prize incentive, making the pot that much sweeter.
Check out the video above to see what the involuntary participants decide. What do you think? Climb or fall?
