There is little argument that J.P. Auclair is one of the greatest skiers of all time. If that sounds hyperbolic, watch the tribute video above, put together by Sherpas Cinema and Poor Boyz Productions, and prepare to have all doubt erased.

When Auclair and Andreas Fransson died in an avalanche in Chile on September 29, 2014, it left a void felt throughout the ski world. Even more so, it left a hole in the lives of their families. Certainly not the least of those affected was J.P.’s partner, Ingrid, and their young son, Leo.

Through the efforts of Sherpas, Poor Boyz, and Alpine Initiatives (the nonprofit founded by Auclair), an online auction has been set up to benefit the Auclair Fund (which in turn helps Ingrid and Leo). Items up for sale are unique, and include limited-edition prints from photographer David Mossup of Sherpas Cinema, and rare skis awarded to skier Eric Hjorleifson during the K2 Back Nine competition (Only 20 pairs were made for the one-time contest held in the Whistler backcountry in 2006).

The auction ends on February 10. Go to the Alpine Initiatives store to view and bid on items, as well as to shop for other products that benefit A.I.
